Fun Times

Here are some pictures of the 4th of July and the a visit from Verne, Hally, Hank and Wyatt. They were with us in Peoria for a week and we had a great time boating, swimming, 4-wheeling and just hanging out. It was so great to watch Hank and Gabe play together (instead of play alongside each other). The best was wrestling.....there is nothing like watching toddlers wrestle and tackle each other....cute! We finally got to meet Wyatt who was born on May 24th, 2008. He is so adorable and fun to cuddle and smells so good (you know that baby smell :)). Thanks for the fun time! we miss you already!

It's Over!

So, I know it has been soooo long since I have updated my blog and sorry if you keep checking with nothing new......and please keep checking, I promise I will get better.....I am sort of getting into this blog thing, maybe :). Anyway, I have been studying (or might I say cramming) for my Real Estate Brokers test that I just took today and passed! Halleluiah!!! is all can say! Seriously, I think the Lord put this in my path to seriously humble me. I went into it thinking "I've done this school thing long enough, this will be a piece of cake!" But, no sir! I struggled through the entire thing from beginning to end. It doesn't help that I think it is totally bogus that I even need it... basically either Dale or I had to get our license since we own a property management company and lucky for me I drew the short straw! So, I'll never use it as it is supposed to be used, meaning I am not going to start selling real estate, it is just a way for the city to get some more money :). Now I know why we go to school in our early 20's with no husband, kids, or job! And maybe my brain got a bit lazy over the years too :). Anyway, of course I put up the same persona that I felt (you know the "this will be a piece of cake" attitude) so when I failed 1/2 of it the first time I was shocked and embarressed. But like I said before, I was humbled and realized OK, maybe you are not super woman after all :).

Anyway, better than all of that.....I went to an INCREDIBLE conference in Atlanta last weekend. My three favorite Bible teachers of all time all came together. Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Pricilla Shirer. It was encouraging, convicting and just plain fun! I met a friend there from Florida and it was great to catch up. For all of you Utah gals they are doing it again in September in Las Vegas....totally worth the road trip! You can read the blog if you are interested, they do a much better job of describing it.
