Time flies when you are serving the Lord!

Hi Friends!

What a crazy 6 months it has been!  We have had such a super time moving to Denver and helping with www.harvestdenver.org!  It has been such a blessing!  It all started a year ago in early January when our dear friends told us they were moving to plant a church, at the time the location was unknown.  At that very moment I knew we were supposed to go...the problem.....when I talked to Dale about it later he didn't feel the call at all :(.  So....several months later, on a date night, Dale begins to talk about how we could logistically make this happen.  I was ecstatic to say the least!  It was a lesson in WAIT and TRUST the Lord and your husband for me :).  What a blessing that was though....because if you know me at all, I can push an agenda if I want to (not a trait I am proud of).  Waiting on God's perfect timing is always the way to go!  So, began the journey of getting our business ready to sell, finding a buyer, selling our house, packing, etc, etc.  Thankfully by God great mercy all of the above happened!  The moving truck came, we packed up the vehicles
(and everything else we couldn't get on the truck) and began the 14 hour drive to Denver!  The drive was not without trouble though....2 flat tires later we made it traveling through the night and 5 hours late to the moving company sitting in front of our townhouse :).

Although we had sold our business and had a few things still going in Peoria we were trusting the Lord for a job for Dale.  We downsized greatly and sold lots of stuff, an effort to live simply during this time (which by the way is very liberating :)).  Once here here we got busy helping the church get started......and on November 7, 2010 we launched our first service with 220 people in attendance!

Harvest Bible Chapel Denver Launch Team!
God is so great and we are so blessed to be part of his work here!

Currently we are meeting at Cherry Creek High School and Dale is in charge of one of the set up crews, so he gets to get up at the crack of dawn, pick up the trailer and take it to the school for set up.  I have been helping put together the children's ministry, Party with the Pastor, and various other things that come up on a regular basis.

We have met some incredible people here, what a tremendously gifted team God has put together here!  We have friends and bonds here that we have never experienced before.  We thank the Lord everyday for how he has provided for us in every way....and I really mean every way!

As we approach the 5 month mark of being here, Dale still does not have a job, but has some very interesting prospects he is working on and praying through.  But we have thoroughly enjoyed unemployment and very generous friends and family.......

Its great when you can pick up in the middle of the week and head to the slopes!  Gabe is loving it and getting pretty good!  We keep thinking we need to pinch ourselves and ask....."are we really here?".

Moral of this part of our story.....trust God and follow Him where ever He may send you....even if it seems impossible because once you get there you are showered with blessings!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6
